About
I'm currently pursuing a PhD in philosophy at Florida State University.
My primary area of interest is in constitutivism, which I understand to be the idea that there are norms internal to or 'constitutive of' rational agency, artifacts, and even the various forms of animal life. Where do these norms come from? Are the same basic norms internal to all forms of rational agency or is there room for pluralism about rational agency? Given that discursive activity is norm-constrained, what are we doing when we speak about things? These are the kinds of questions that I like to think about, usually with a cup of coffee and a nice pastry.
